Drink Around the World in Epcot: Disney Drinking Guide

Welcome, Disney adults and fellow day Drinkers!

If you're planning a Disney adult-focused trip, Epcot's World Showcase is a must-visit. This guide will take you through each of the 11 pavilions, highlighting the best food and drink options, perfect for those doing Disney kid-free.

For those looking to drink around the world like a pro, my one-page Drink Around the World Epcot guide has you covered. You can save it to your phone or even (gasp) print it out! I know. Crazy talk.

This blog post will still cover a lot of good stuff BUT I only have 1 drink rec at each stop listed (for the all the recommendations, you must purchase the guide ;)

I do give you the most budget friendly drinks in each country so you can still partake, even on a budget!

Let’s dive into this ultimate drinking and eating adventure!

Side bar: I start in Canada for a few reasons:
1. Because everyone says to start in Mexico and I don't like to do what other people are doing.
2. I like to END the day with tequila instead of margs at 11am
3. I love the Rose & Crown and like to hang out there at the end and Canada is a lot closer.
4. And it's theoretically less hot because of the sunset or something like that.

I guess I needed to validate my reasons for my readers. I struggle with overthinking, can you tell??.

Ok, let's get to drinking!

The History and Magic of Epcot's World Showcase

Epcot, which stands for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, was envisioned by Walt Disney as a utopian city. After his death, the concept evolved into a theme park that opened in 1982.

The World Showcase, one of the park's two main sections, was designed to promote international culture and collaboration. Initially featuring nine pavilions, it later expanded to include eleven, each representing a different country (Wikipedia).

Canada Pavilion

Start your journey in the Canada Pavilion, designed to reflect Canada's natural landscapes and cultural heritage. The pavilion features beautiful gardens, totem poles, and a stunning replica of the Canadian Rockies (don't miss the waterfall in the back!)

  • Food: Try the maple popcorn from the popcorn cart or the poutine from the Refreshment Port for a true Canadian snack.
  • Drinks: Sip on the Ottawa Apple from the popcorn cart.
  • The most budget friendly option is the seasonal cocktail at the Refreshment Port, priced at $6.50.

United Kingdom Pavilion

The UK Pavilion offers a charming experience reminiscent of a quaint British village. With cobblestone streets, traditional pubs, and lush gardens, it's a delightful stop on your drinking journey.

  • Food: Fish and chips from the Yorkshire County Fish Shop are a must-try.
  • Drinks: Enjoy a Welsh Dragon at the Rose & Crown Pub.
  • For a budget-friendly option, try the Rose & Crown Pub blends or Magners Pear Cider from the beer cart.

France Pavilion

Immerse yourself in the romance of the France Pavilion, inspired by the streets of Paris. This pavilion offers exquisite dining and picturesque views of the Eiffel Tower.

This is my 2nd favorite pavilion (behind Morocco). It feels like it's the biggest and the food and drinks are exquisite here.

  • Food: Indulge in lobster bisque from Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, or choose any delectable pastry from their menu (you seriously can't go wrong).
  • Drinks: The alcoholic slushes are a highlight from Les Vins des Chefs de France, especially the Orange Slush.
  • The most budget friendly drink option is the French wines from La Creperie de Paris.

Morocco Pavilion

The Morocco Pavilion showcases intricate mosaics and vibrant markets, offering a rich cultural experience. This is also the only pavilion that was built by the government of the country to assure it was properly done.

This is my favorite pavilion. You can see the love that went into it. Another cool fact: all of the tiles have some type of blemish because it is said that only Allah can create perfection. Now that's attention to detail.

Pro Tip: If you walk all the way to the back (like alll the way), there is an old restaurant that is often open with tables, chairs and AC!

  • Food: Enjoy a snack from the Tangierine Cafe or the pastry assortment from Oasis Sips & Sweets.
  • Drink: The Frozen Mint Tea from Oasis is a must.
  • The seasonal cider at Tangierine Cafe is the most budget friendly drink option.

Japan Pavilion

Step into the serene beauty of the Japan Pavilion, featuring traditional architecture and gardens, a koi pond, and a tranquil atmosphere.

There's just something about Japanese architecture that is so calming. I love to chill out by the koi ponds here and recharge.

There is also the HUGE Mitsukoshi Department Store. It is worth mentioning because it's a real store from Japan and the only one found in the USA.

  • Food: Cool off with shaved ice from the Kabuki Cafe.
  • Drink: The Tokyo Sunset from Katsura Grill is one of my favorite drinks in all of Disney. I always buy 2 at a time!
  • The most budget friendly drink is the Plum Wine from Katsura Grill.

American Adventure Pavilion

The American Adventure Pavilion celebrates the history and culture of the United States with colonial-style architecture and patriotic performances.

  • Food: Try the S’mores brownie from Regal Eagle. The food here is just "meh". We could have done better.
  • Drinks: The Blackberry Moonshine from Regal Eagle is the best drink there.
  • The most affordable drinks are the beer options at Fife and Drum Tavern.

Italy Pavilion

The Italy Pavilion captures the essence of Italian culture with stunning architecture and delicious cuisine, reminiscent of Venice and Rome.

Italy has a very special place in my heart since I spent 6 weeks there in college. They did a wonderful job replicating an Italian plaza and I love to sip a limoncello and people watch here and pretend I'm back in dear Verona.

  • Food: Indulge in gelati from Gelateria Toscana or enjoy a pizza at Via Napoli.
  • Drinks: Try the Limoncello Flight from Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar.
  • The most budget friendly drinks are the beer and wine from Gelateria Toscana.

Germany Pavilion

Experience the festive atmosphere of the Germany Pavilion, inspired by Bavarian villages, complete with a giant cuckoo clock and charming details.

  • Food: You HAVE to get the pretzel bread pudding from Sommerfest. It's arguably the best dessert in all of WDW (I said what I said). The caramel popcorn and caramel butter bars from Karamell Kuche are also popular treats and noteworthy.
  • Drinks:  Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen from Sommerfest is super popular. (I have a super secret and awesome drink stop only available in my guide for this country ;) Click here to instantly download!
  • The most budget friendly drink option is the Redbridge Lager from Sommerfest.

China Pavilion

The China Pavilion features stunning architecture and tranquil gardens, reflecting ancient Chinese culture.

  • Food: The egg rolls from Joy of Tea is the only notable quick service item here.
  • Drinks: Enjoy a Plum Wine from The Lotus Blossom Cafe.
  • All drinks at Lotus Blossom Cafe are budget-friendly.

Norway Pavilion

The Norway Pavilion offers a charming Scandinavian village experience, complete with references to Norse mythology and Viking culture.

  • Food: Enjoy School Bread, Lefse, or a cinnamon roll from Kringla Bakeri.
  • Drinks: The Troll Krem from the beer cart on the Mexico side.
  • The most budget friendly drink option is the Nordic Draft Beer from Kringla Bakeri.

Mexico Pavilion

We've finally arrived to the Mecca of drinking around the world... The Mexico Pavilion! This is one of the most vibrant pavilions, with a stunning pyramid and lively atmosphere. Inside, you'll find a bustling marketplace and festive music.

  • Food: Savor empanadas de barbacoa from Choza de Margarita or a taco trio and churro sundae from La Cantina de San Angel.
  • Drink: The Avocado Margarita with Tajin rim from La Cava!
  • The most budget friendly drink option is Dos Equis from La Cantina de San Angel or Choza de Margarita.
